Warendorf – The Horse Capital of Germany. Situated in Münsterland, no other German town is as intertwined with the horse as Warendorf. Not only is it home to the German Riding Association (FN), the German Equestrian Olympic Committee (DOKR) and the Military Sport College, it’s also the home of the North Rhein Westfalian State Stud. And the home, too, of the most successful show jumper of all time: Hans Günter Winkler.

Warendorf is located in Münsterland, and is one of the prettiest and most historical old towns in Germany. Lying on the banks of the River Ems, it provides wonderful opportunities for trail riding and bicycle tours.
