Jeanette's comments about this book....
Jane Savoie constantly amazes me - her philosophy of training horses and riders is so very much on the same lines of myself.
This second book on Cross Training is great. It clearly explains the 'what' the 'why' and the 'how, with excellent visualisation drawrings, photo's of a range of different types and levels of horses from many equestrian activities - driving, endurance, western dressage and jumping horses included.
A 'must have' book for those serious about enjoying the training of their horses. Contact, half halts - connection and collection with the essence of more advanced movements - half pass, counter canter, flying changes etc. all firmly grounded in "the Scales of Training".
Jane's vast experience as a rider, trainer and coach including dressage coach to the Canadian three day event team for the Olympics in Atlanta 1996. She excels in communicating the 'nuts and bolts' of the HOW TO DO IT and What good work feelings like.
A book is ideally suited to those wanting to improve their training skills for any equestrian sports codes or activities 14 to 100 years old!
A perfect book for aspiring and established equestrian coaches.
